Gammon Joint

Our Gammon is supplied to us by a local family run farm, a short 8 miles from us, just over the border into Cornwall where they breed, rear and process to the final stage on their own farm. Their large white x Landrace Pigs are fed on home grown cereals, and only have to move a few hundred yards to the abattoir, meaning a saving in fuel and benefit to the environment, and keeping the stress for the pigs during transportation to a minimum.
 
Most commonly Roasted, but perfect for Boiling or Braising too. The Gammon joint is a fantastic budget friendly and economical cut to choose. From Roasted gammon with seasonal veg, then leftovers for that pasta bake or homemade ham and pea soup.
